I wasn't able to find a config file where dvdstyler references the drive but I had never heard of /dev/sg0 before so you learn something new everyday. Problem is not solved but I appreciate the responses and I'll be staying with Arch Linux for a while. I'll get on the dvdstyler forums and see if anything helpful turns up, if so, I'll post it here.
"you could try to change the symlink by hand, thus making /dev/dvd point to /dev/sg0." Sorry for being a major newb but I don't know where or how this would be done. I'm using Krusader as a file manager and if I right click on /dev/dvd and check properties it says that it points to /dev/cd/dvd-sr0, also in my right click menu I have the options to create 1) new symlink 2) new hardlink or 3) redirect link. Thanks again. I don't know where dvdstyler references it.
