Hmm that is odd, have tried burning to another dvd? Have you tried 
playing the dvd iso or just the files on the computer? If you want to 
play the iso file  you can type in xine dvd://path/to/dvd/iso/file
I also use dvdstyler, and I tried burning straight to a dvd and I got 
the same error, go figure...
