One thing I wanted to highlight is that support to the policy is not
necessarily a support to the petition. There is a difference in the
reasoning for both.
The support to the petition should be (at least in theory) because these
people supporting it are dissatisfied with an action taken by the AC -
after reading and understanding it. There have people that supported the
proposal during the discussion but after AC evaluation that this may not
progress they accepted their decision.
In any way this petition gathering enough support to progress to the
Board of Trustees I really hope they keep the AC decision which among
several points have considered that it lacks one of the principles for
it to progress which is "Be supported by the community"

A petition has been initiated for the following:
ARIN-2020-2: Reinstatement of Organizations Removed from Waitlist
by Implementation of ARIN-2019-16
ARIN-2020-2 reverted to Draft Policy on 6 January following a Last
Call period. Per ARIN's Policy Development Process (PDP), all
Recommended Draft Policies not sent to the ARIN Board of Trustees
for adoption consideration within 60 days of Last Call completion

Anyone may take part in this petition. Per ARIN's PDP, a petition
for Board of Trustees adoption consideration will require support
from 25 individuals from 25 distinct organizations to be
considered successful.
To support this petition for Board of Trustees adoption
consideration of ARIN-2020-2, simply send a response to the Public
Policy Mailing list indicating your support and including your
full name and organization.
This petition window will remain open for five days, closing 16
January.
If successful by the end of the five-day period, the petition
details and results will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees for
