Yes, that was what I was fearing.
It might be worth trying to enable watchdog in u-boot so the board reboots automatically if the boot fails.
That sounds good.
From the but report it sounds like the mmc boot is not reliable bytsucceeds at least sometimes so the watchdog may make it boot eventually.
