Two comments:

First, the first document ("buchanan.doc") states that Gore was listed
under the Reform slate while Buchanan was listed under the Dems. That's
just not true; see
<http://www.boston.com/campaign2000/vote/florida_voters.htm>.

Secondly, Palm Beach county allegedly has a Buchanan cousin with a small
(but effective?) grassroots movement going. According to a few sources,
Buchanan received 8,788 in a meaningless GOP primary in 96. (Dole had
all-but wrapped up the nomination by then.) See
<http://www.nationalreview.com/nr_comment/nr_comment110900c.shtml>.
Further, I've seen a few reports that Reform Party registration (or
something like that -- the RP's structure is pretty flimsy) has gone up in
PBC 110% over the last year; to wit: these aren't Ross Perot supporters.
I'll look for a source for that.

I'm not saying there wasn't confusion, but it is likely overblown.

less likely to vote for Buchanan. See the attached.
