from wht i feel, arr's music has always been changing from time to time and all other copy cats are always tryin to copy him as thts the only way one can taste success internationally. arr has changed all his 90's loops just to gain some footage in the north and eventually tasted a global success. if he kept on repeating the 90's stuff and its technology, harris would repeat the same thing again and again...!! and he wud be in a loop actually. atleast..hj fans shud feel some wht happy tht arr gave some gap to hj to develop a bit. harris is a lot narrow minded in tht way.
pieces like swades and now rdb have extensive technology blended with incredible melody. As they r hindi based movies..the music has tht national feel with international quality. wht happened to minnaley when dubbed to hindi? box office bomb. thts because..it still sounded south indian and no much difference.
actually its quite hard to cater the needs of north and south at a time for which boss is an exception. actually no 90's technology film fared well in the north if u see closely. so is the change in his style.
so, arr had some big leaps in technology and tht first big leap is with taal as far as i know which made many northies to take a look at arr. so, for me..without this change in technology and orchestration..arr would never have this kind of grip over all parts of india.
