I would recommend the following formats:

mp3 - CBR 160
mp3 - CBR 320
mp3 - VBR 192 to 320
aac - CBR 160
if mp3 VBR takes more size, then go for mp3 ABR..
Use dBpowerAMP for high quality rips..
do not use the bonus pack..
