Partly agree to Dinesh's point about the relative seriousness with which we
ingest our music, and steering clear of the "we Punekars are hard to please"
clause :-):

I spoke to/read comments of a few such disappointed attendees, one of whom even
described the show as "lacklustre". Largely, this seemed because:
* they had never heard some of the Tamil songs (esp. the Sivaji ones) before
* even songs like 'jaage hai.n' were relatively obscure to them
* the screens & speakers closest to the standing sections were not the best
* There was a perceptible dip in buzz between songs: perhaps a good emcee was
needed when the stage was being set for the next piece
* Some were there to 'shack their body' (sic) :-)
* Some were there mainly to (re-)listen to their favourite tracks - not really
to observe the millions of small & interesting things happening on stage or to
discover more of ARR's repertoire
* Compared to some other concerts, there wasn't much of a stirring up of the
crowd by way of banter (though why one would want this in such a show is
debatable).

Just a case of one's poison being another's nectar, I suppose.
