The awards for 2007 did not happen . This year's event is trying to cover two
years worth of work. I am sure a little more googling would have told you that.

Anyone can apply to become a judge. Not all of the votes qualify though :)
Voting fraud is tracked and accounted for. You might want to try it out, its a
pretty cool piece of technology ;). I would say the voting that happens this
year is going to be challenging though - given that so many albums are to be
tracked and validated.

CDBaby is the leading Independent distribution channel in the united states
that accounts for a vast majority of Independent albums - in some years, as
much as 95%. I was surprised too that Rahman's Godfather Track was branded
'independent' in the first place when its a motion picture soundtrack. But , I
guess the producer decided to market it through his own brand without
approaching a major channel.

The facts are clear my friend. The credibility of this organization is only as
questionable as our credibility in questioning it.

I think Krosswindz is a respected band that served Bangla music for a long time
now and so, I care about them. Care is a subjective thing ofcourse and depends
on each Artists' and his fans' priorities.

Ramesh, I would like to find out more about your personal work in music. Do you
happen to be an independent music producer as well? If so, would you not be
happy if your work got nominated next to your icon's ?
