I am also sure that ARR has no intention of taking credits for any 
lyrics, a composed song is a MD's responsibility. The director 
explains situation. Lyrics are approved by MD and not the director 
except for some possible modifications in the final song if anything 
might clash with the rest of the script, I guess. Some directors like 
Subhash ghai become more involved in song creation process piece by piece.
