Carey,
1- If a create a display only attachement field I do not see the file name attached once I save the entry and look back in the field.
2- That will not give me the path of the file.
Any other suggestion?

Mathieu,
I would think that an attachment field (or the special run process
syntax to "Add an attachment") would be the way to go.
Add an attachment field (make it display only if you do not want to
actually store the file in the record) so that the user can "point" to
the file from inside the User Tool.
