You're correct - "Change Management lite" is part of Help Desk, and
there really isn't all that much to set up. Just add CTIs that are
specific to Change Management (optional), set up task templates (also
optional), and a few other things that are similar to the Help Desk
setup. The applications share users, groups, etc. The main features
that you get with the full Change Management application (talking v6 and
below here) are:

Dependencies between change requests and change tasks, and a definable
sequence with enforcement
Approval processes for change requests
Risk and impact analysis
Cost analysis and management functionality
Expanded set of predefined reports

See the ITSM config manual for more details on those.

Subject: In-built tasks on AR6.3

Morning All!

Just a quick question, i am aware that you can buy a bolt-on Change
Management system for Remedy but as usual my company wont buy it! I've
noticed there is a small inbuild system in place with tasks that can be
added in to the helpdesk form? I was just wondering if anyone else uses
this as i would be interested in setting this up?

Cheers

Matt
