The compatibility guide shows only XP for the user tool and XP/WIN2003 for the admin tool/Migrator Mike Parker writes:
That brings up an interesting point....If you look in the CMDB 2.0 User guide (Accessing the CMDB console), on page 10, it says:
"On Windows 2000, choose Start > Programs > Action Request System >
BMC Remedy User." Though I do remember BMC saying that they were going to be dropping support for Windows 2000. Now I'm not sure what to believe...

Subject: Re: Question: User Tool 7
** I am using v7 on 5.1.2 server but have a problem with Asset
Management 5.5 and Modify all: it will fail. This is because the v7 user
tool handles display only or global fields differently from the 5.1.2
and 6.3 user tool.
This is a Product Defect with Remedy, SW00247080, but is still marked as
"Work in Progress". Currently this holds us from upgrading our user
community to v7 clients.

I'm curious if anyone is using version 7 of the User Tool with
an older
version of ARS Server running (i.e. 6.x).
I thought maybe version 7 might perform better (i.e. better
memory usage,
etc.). Thanks.
