When you create the active link, you have the Excecute On section that defines when the active link will be fired.

If you don't want it to run on a search, then uncheck the "Search" part of the excecute on.

We all have to start somewhere.

Good luck with it all,

Dave

Total newbie here... (blush)

I have an active link that populates the assign-to group and individual
fields on window load of the HPD:HelpDesk form, however when they click
Search for Request, the HPD:HelpDesk form opens in (Search) mode and
they have to delete the auto-populated information prior to searching
(if they are searching for something else). How do I limit an active
link to only run in (New) mode?

Not even sure if I have the lingo right...mode/view?!

Any help/documentation you could provide to point me in the right
direction would be greatly appreciated! I've looked in the
documentation but am not sure how to even word it to find it!

s:) Thanks!
