Hello, this is usually done with filters. I guess you have a categoryform.
Create a checkboxfield in this form, and mark the entries for which you want
the optional field to be required. Create a hidden display only field in your
first form and a filter using set field action, 'category' = $category$ when
category is changed ('DB.category' != 'category', set the display only field to
'checkboxfield', create a new filter with higher executionorder action error
message 'Optional field is required for this category', if the hidden field has
a value from the first filter. Sounds more complicated than it is ..Dont build
workflow using hardcoded values, with this method you can easily handle
categories

Subject: how to make a field requiered through the workflow

Hi,

ARS 6.00.01
Mid-tiers 6.03

I have an optional field.
But if my users choose a certain category, I'd like the field to become
requiered.
Any idea/suggestion/solution on how to do this ?
Thanks
