Removing Assets from ITSM 6.0

** There comes a time, especially on development servers, when it would seem to be a good idea to delete asset records from the CMDB.

Records can be deleted from BMC:BMC_AssetBase, but filter OBJSTR:Instance_CheckDeleteOp prevents deletions from the asset data type forms such as BMC:BMC_ComputerSystems_ or BMC:BMC_NetworkConnectivity_ (note the underscore as the last character in the form name).

The filter can be disabled to allow records to be deleted from these forms, but what will the side-effects be if I do that? How far down the road will I get before ill befalls my system?

I am running ITSM 6.0 on AR Server 6.3 on WinXP and MSSQL 2000, which is running on a Win2k box.
