Field ID 2 is "Submitter". This is probably the culprit (nothing to do
with Push Fields If). It's a required field and must be set manually, by
workflow, or by default. If not, you'd get this error on submit - whether
or not you coded 1 = 2 in Push Fields If.

Well, maybe you will need to use the old 1=2 method.... What about
changing the setting of unqualified searches, but restricting the no. of
records that can be returned????
I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not. Anybody have anything to
add?????

What are the settings for the qualification on the if tab? Try setting
them to:
If No Requests Match: Create a New Request
If Any Requests Match: Take No Action
See if that works!

I am using ARS 5.1.2 on SQL server and Windows
I am getting the following error messege from the client side
"ARERR [307] Required field (without a default) not specified : 2" Do you
know why?
If i leave the qualification blank then I get
"ARERR [361] An unqualified search was issued and the server has been
configured to disallow unqualified searches.
You must specify some search criteria to perform a search on this form"

It's an intentionally-false condition to cause the Push Field's "If No
Requests Match" action to be taken - usually to create a record
unconditionally (Create a New Request).
There have been a few interesting discussions on arslist about whether or
not 1 = 2 in a Push Fields If causes a table scan.

I have seen 1=2 on the "push field if" bar for push action active link to
push values from one form to another. Can any one tell me what are the 1
and 2 stand for?
Thanks
