When you say heavily customized, what exactly have you customized? If it is just changes to the form as in addition of fields and AL's and Filters etc associated with them, you could take a export of all these objects and when importing using V7 use the option "Replace objects on Destination Server" with the suboption "Replace with New Type" (uner Handle Conflicting Types).
That should work for you..
