Its starting to shape up that way since I started the ball rolling. I
don't mind being the "Point Guy", but don't call me "In Charge" :-)

Before I posted to the list, I discussed the feasibility of the Airport
Simulation seminar with our BMC Rep and she said that it could be done. We
just need to work out the logistics. We'll talk about the details
off-list so as not to bug (pun marginally intended) everyone else that
isn't interested.

So Thad are you the Point guy?
Do we know if BMC will do something for us?

On behalf of the two of us at New Edge Networks in Vancouver, we'd be very
interested.

Subject: Portland RUG (Oregon, not Maine)

Hello,

A few weeks ago as a tangent of a completely different thread, the topic
of a Portland RUG came up. I received a few responses from people that
were interested, but I wanted to see if there were any others out there
that would be interested in attending. And what are your primary areas of
interest?

Last year in Seattle, BMC held a free, half-day version of their "Airport
Simulation" seminar (
http://www.bmc.com/education/servicemgmt/courses/q-itil-150.htm). I found
it a nice introduction to ITIL concepts. Maybe we could do something like
that here if there was interest? Or anything else. I'm not sure what
people are more interested in, a 3/4 day "event", or a 2 hour "evening
with friends over a beer" kind of thing. Or both. :-)

Anyway, contact me if you are interested and we can work out the details
off-list.

Thanks,
