6.0.01 will be on limited support until the next release of AR System, which is tentatively scheduled for July of 2007. At that time, 6.0.01 would become a C-3 release and thus no longer supported under the BMC support policy.
The support policy is based first on releases, then on time. In other words, versions do not fall off the support policy until they become a C-3 release regardless of time. If less than 2 years have passed since the version had been released, it would remain supported until 2 years had past. Being more concrete, the officially supported releases in July (assuming 7.1.00 releases in July) would be AR System 7.1.00, 7.0.01, and 6.03. Thanks, -David J. It seems that technically 6.0.1 would fall off support in May, anway, from what I read of the support policy. I think 7.0 will have been out for a year in May, and 6.0 was released over 2 years ago... "BMC Software provides Full Support for the current version/release of all its products as well as one release preceding it (C-1). Additionally, BMC Software will provide Limited Support to the C-2 release for 12 months after the current release has been made available. Regardless of the number of supported releases, BMC Software will always provide at least Limited Support for a version/release for a period of at least 24 months from the date on which the version/release became generally available (GA)." ... or how does BMC see this?
