L.J. I got this from BMC Remedy support: The root cause of the problem was due to Java 1.5.0_11 installer not setting the correct values in the following registry keys correctly
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit\1.5\JavaHome HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit\1.5.0_11\JavaHome The correct values should indicates the path to the JDK installed directory, eg: c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_11 Seemed to work for me.
