In a separate thread regarding this subject just today it was pointed out that Java has a bug in the 11 install <http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6520670> http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6520670 I corrected my registry and was able to install successfully with 1.5.0_11

Since BMC's site is down I'm unable to verify that the updates our server team have installed are compatible with the Mid-Tier. They gave us Java 6 (1.6.0 I believe), which seems to be incompatible with Remedy, and when I downgraded to 1.5.11, it also appears to be incompatible. They really want to run version 6 since it's the current one, but I know Remedy tends to be a few versions behind on the JRE.
