Frank, Most mobiles have an email address associated with them that can be used. These are usually in the form of [EMAIL PROTECTED] I must caution that not all providers offer a email interface, especially in Asia Pacific. The best advice is to contact the service provider and talk to them.
We use more robust software from TelAlert to send to pagers and/or mobiles. The software uses various messaging protocols like TAP, SNPP, and SMPP. We just added a GSM modem to our system to pass messages via SMS directly to those mobiles in AP that we can't find the configurations for the service provider for the protocols. There are other software providers that offer similar products at a wide range of costs.
