Hi all,

Its totally amazing me about the itanium chip problem. HP is only selling
Itanium chip machines the only place you can get risc machines is on
E-Bay.

We were told by BMC that an Itanium port of remedy was expected in Q3 2006
now its almost Q4 2007 and no build in site. We went due to corporare
pressure onto the new HP servers and went from having a full rich suite of
tools on a single server to a limted function arserver that has to rely on
other machines to run its external bits and pieces.

Without the itanium port we cant compile any native C api libraries hence
no perl php cgi api tools ( we cant even use the driver utility )
Java is running in aries so the mails crippled and any other java app
running in arsystem , oracle client is running in aries

Its about time BMC picked up the ball, RISC is dead, we are geniunely
considering going to HP Service Desk if something doesnt happen in the
near future
