I sort of think the whole conversation is going the wrong direction. I think BMC should create a rockin great version of Kinetic Link - and expose everything as XML from the server itself. Then go ahead - chose any language you want. (My preference - Ruby)
The APIs only create/read/update/delete anyway. (Not like it does active links etc...)
