Nice I just plan to migrate ARS server. I don't have ITSM applications. And what about the OS ? Version 6.3 and 7.1 will run normally on AIX 4.3 ?

So your upgrade path would be ARS 5.1.2 -> ARS 6.0 -> ARS 6.3 -> upgrade oracle after turning down Remedy -> ARS 7.0 -> ARS 7.1 Trying to skip a major release may result in corruption of your DB so be careful.. NOW if you have got ITSM apps installed that you need to upgrade to ITSM 7 - thats a different beast altogether.. thats more of a migration than just upgrade...
