Can I even upgrade our Mid Tier from 7.01 to 7.1 and leave our AR System
server at version 7.01 patch 005?
Are there instructions or notes on what needs to be done to upgrade the
Mid Tier to this new release?

Also, we have had reservations about going to Mid Tier 7.1 based on the
fact that the new Mid Tier seems to create files on the server to store
cached form and workflow definitions locally so that prefetching is
faster but is there a way to know how much space is needed to store
these "Persistent Cache" files?

AR System 7.1.00, FYI, has added arrows to such fields when the number
of tabs becomes large to help with this situation...

Page holder enhancements

Page holders now include left and right arrows that enable viewing of
page tabs that extend beyond the width of the page holder. This allows
administrators to create multiple tabs for a page holder without being
restrained by the width of the the page field. Page tabs are no longer
cut off if they extend beyond the width of the page holder.

Left and right arrows are available on either side of the page tabs.
These arrows are visible only if the page holder has enough tabs to
require scrolling. Tabs can be scrolled one at a time.

Yes, we have run into this same issue. I believe we had to hide (or
remove I can't remember which) the tabs that we weren't using (like
Financial). We have the RKM tab, SLM and a new Vendor tab that we are
using and it can only be 12.

Page Holder tab limit on Mid Tier 7.01

Last week my coworker noticed that when logged into the Remedy Mid Tier
he was not able to see the Knowledge Management tab on HPD:Help Desk but
was able to see the tab fine when logged in using the Remedy User
client.

I noticed the same thing as well but noticed that the web will show the
12 tabs (11 that come with the out of box Incident Management 7.02 and
one we added per customization) and then after the 12th tab I can see
what appears to be another tab next to it but it is not fully visible
and I cant select it at all to see it.

Ive looked through the Mid Tier 7.01 documentation and I cant find
anything that would indicate a tab limit on the Mid Tier.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and determined how to correct
this?
