You need to look for a process of that name, not service.
Running processes are listed on the Processes tab within the Task Manager
dialog on your server.
Depending on the version of your system the process may be called differently.
On our 7.0.01 server, the process is called slmbrsvc.exe.
As you are also getting plugin errors, you may want to enable plugin logging
and kill process called arplugin.exe
The remedy server service should start both processes automatically.

Hope this helps

Hi,

There is service associated with the SLM called slmbrsvc.sh. Need to manually
start this in order to move the SLA status forward.

Thanks & Regards

Subject: SLAs stuck at Build In Progress

Hi List

ARS 7.0.1 Patch 5
SQL Server 2005
Windows 2003

We have two servers operating as a server group with a single database.

The Problem is this. We needed to change one of our service targets and after
doing so clicked build. The status of the service target has gone to build in
progress but has gone no further.

We have tried to delete the SLA abd rebuild them but got an plugin error (ARERR
8939)

Any advice help appreciated.

TIA

Alan D West
