The DB and ARServer are on the same server. I just found out that server was
rebooted at the same time.

I checked my dependencies and it shows that SQL Server is a dependency of AR
System, so the sql server should come up first and then arsystem should.

For some reason, arsystem looks like it's trying to start before sql server is
up clean.

Anyone have any ideas? Rick, I think you are right on the money with what the
issue is, the problem is why is remedy trying to load prior to the database?

** Gary, this looks like it might be a connectivity issue between AR System and
the DB. This often happens when the DB is taken down for backups and then
brought back up without restarting AR System. Have you verified that this is
not the problem? If it all works again after bouncing AR System, that might be
the culprit.

This is the second time this has happened. I come in to work in the morning,
and no one can log in. I have to cycle remedy on the server to get it to work.
It is throwing a miscellaneous TLI error from the client, or from the MT, just
saying authentication failed.

Below is from the error logs:

Java information is as follows:

java version "1.6.0_05"

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13)

Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode, sharing)

I saw someone post they were getting the same error, about being unable to
extract minor version from java VM.

Basically, I'm randomly seeing the java error in my logs. But occasionally,
about five to eight seconds after that error, as you can see above, my
connection to the database is severed, and remedy cannot recover. It tries to
cycle itself, then it says that it comes up, but then it fails immediately, and
cannot recover until I manually cycle it when I come in.

Do you all think I need to go to a 1.5 java version, or do you think that
something else might be to blame?

Users with static passwords, as well as users using cross ref blank passwords
are affected, it does not care where their login password is stored.

Thanks,
