This is the second time this has happened. I come in to work in the morning, and no one can log in. I have to cycle remedy on the server to get it to work. It is throwing a miscellaneous TLI error from the client, or from the MT, just saying authentication failed.
Below is from the error logs: Sun Jun 08 08:10:48 2008 390695 : Unable to extract minor version from Java VM version string: 10.0-b19 (ARERR 9130) Sun Jun 08 08:10:56 2008 : Action Request System(R) Server Version 7.1.00 Build 200708221849 (c) Copyright 1991-2007 BMC Software, Inc. The login failed. (SQL Server 4060) Sun Jun 08 08:43:36 2008 Dispatch : Cannot establish a network connection to the AR System server (hqrem (0) : RPC: Program not registered) ARERR - 90 Sun Jun 08 08:43:36 2008 Dispatch : AR System Application server terminated -- fatal error encountered (ARAPPNOTE 4501) Java information is as follows: java version "1.6.0_05" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode, sharing) I saw someone post they were getting the same error, about being unable to extract minor version from java VM. Basically, I'm randomly seeing the java error in my logs. But occasionally, about five to eight seconds after that error, as you can see above, my connection to the database is severed, and remedy cannot recover. It tries to cycle itself, then it says that it comes up, but then it fails immediately, and cannot recover until I manually cycle it when I come in. Do you all think I need to go to a 1.5 java version, or do you think that something else might be to blame? Users with static passwords, as well as users using cross ref blank passwords are affected, it does not care where their login password is stored.
