With HD 5.6 when I once had that error and after checking all the checks you
mention (use of underscore etc) and encountering the same problem as you, I had
contacted Remedy support and it turned out to be a bad report file. They had
sent me a patched file and I had to delete the original file from the Reports
form and attach the new one they had given and it had worked for me..

In my case it had not worked on any of my client PC's so it was a global
problem. If thats the same case with you, you might want to check with Remedy
support and see if they can dig up a patched file for you. That you are on an
older version might be an issue as I think 5.6 is way out of support but it
never hurts to try..

Subject: ARERR 1658 Error generating Crystal report

**
Hello everyone,

Only one user has a problem printing a crystal reportfrom a helpdesk case form.
Other users can print fine from the same workstation. When the user with the
problem signs on to another workstation the problems occurs only for him the
other users can print without any problems
When a user clicks on a button on the helpdesk form, an active link opens a
window type report that prints the case information.  How can I view what is
happening when Crystal report is getting the data from the server database?.

The client has been reinstalled, the ODBC underscore is checked. The user has
been deleted from the configuration tables and added again. nothing seems to
work.

Thank you.
