Thanks Mike,

I am told this masking of email addresses should only be done for certain
notifications and not all. I mean not all notifications (new, assigned,
resolved and closed etc) for all tyes of tickets should have their address
masked... say only one type of incidents but not all.

Anyway, I will take a look at the email configuration and see if this can be
acheived and let you know.

Many thanks

Hi Frex,

You can always change the 'Display Name' and 'Reply To Address' which will
"mask" the email address that Remedy has sent from. This can be changed in the
'Email Mailbox Configuration' form or from a Notify Filter via workflow.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Mike.

Subject: Masking the email address sent from Remedy

**

Dear all,

I have been asked, if posible, to mask the email address sent in the remedy
notifications.

If you have say [email protected] sent in your notifications, to change to
something else when it reaches the users inbox. I know this does not make
sense, since the exhange server needs to know the real address to be able to
deliver the notification. However is there anyway you could do something
similar on the echange server side?

The other solution is to create a new email account in remedy but I am trying
to avoid this since it will involved changes to the workflow etc...

Sorry if this is not a remedy question .-)

Regards
frex
