I figured this out eventually. Since the SLM log recreated itself and
overwrote the important information every time it crashed (every 20-30 seconds)
it was hard to get good info. I ended up having to do a tail -f on the log
file. Once I did this I could see the issue was with the actions. Apparently,
it didn't like adding actions manually to a milestone created by a template.
Every time I try and do that the system freaks. Easy enough to work around,
even if it is a little tedious.

You could turn on SLM logging and try to see what it is working on when the
error occurs. I don't know offhand which form might have the offending data.

Do you think there is any way to tell which one is causing the problem? I have
a lot and would hate to have to delete them all and start over completely.

Anne,

This is the SLM targets/measurements/slas, etc. BRIE handles the SLM
calculations.

In my arerror.log, but can't find the "work" Thorin references below. I've got
nothing pending in the application pending form. Could someone perhaps point
me in the right direction?

Thanks for the information marty

I have hashed out the Brie server start up, but still got the same problem

The server seems to terminate with "signal 11".

Does any one have any idea what the "signal 11" relates too.

Dear Zaheer:
We had the same issue. We fixed it by turning off the Brie server. A
couple of months later we went through the entire list of work for the Brie
server. (This is found in forms.) We deleted this work (which was the culprit
of the problem), and restarted the Brie server.
It has run quietly ever since.
