You didn't mention what AR Server version and DB, etc, that you are on. If nothing is being logged, then something is obviously wrong and you need to resolve that issue first.
Is this a new install? Is this a "Test/Dev" or "Production" environment? A first logical step might be to examine the arerror log to see if there is any indication of problems there. You may also want to restart AR Server and verify that things start properly.
