If you have access to the Windows User Tool (WUT) it will use less memory when processing queries like that (although, 100,000 records is still a lot for it, especially if you're pulling back Incidents). The question I have, though is where you're actually running out of memory. It's possible that your AR server or Mid Tier could be running out of memory trying to process such a large query. If that's the case, adding memory to your machine or hers will not help any.
Given the large number of records, if you can work with it, it's probably a good idea to break it up into smaller queries like 1 week chunks like you tried. That's less likely to cause issues with the server or Mid Tier as well. For all appearances this is just a local workstation memory issue and I can't think of any way to address that other than adding memory to her machine.
