Thanks everybody for your response.
Derek/Howard, Next-ID-Block-Size was set to 10 on the development server where
I was noticing next ID sequence skip. The development environemnt uses server
group.
However I migrated form and workflows to QA yesterday. The QA server is not in
a server group and NEXT-ID-BLOCK-SIZE is set to 1 on this server. Next ID
sequence was working fine on QA environment yesterday. However, when I created
a ticket today after couple of hours, the next ID skipped again. I created
several tickets after that but worked ok after that. I am not sure why the
sequence skipped when the server was idle for several hours.
Candace,The form is using Request ID field (database ID 1) as ticket number.
Kevin, Delete option is disbaled on he form/view.So I am sure nobody is
deleting the tickets.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Shweta

How many fast server threads are you running and do you have the
Next-ID-Block-Size configuration parameter set?

Hello Listers

When users are creating new requests on a custom form, Request ID number is
being skipped. For eg. if the last Request ID was 10, the next ID would be
14. This issue is having happening arbitrarily (Request ID is in correct
sequence for most of the records and it is skipping only sometimes). Any ideas?
We are on ARS version 7.1 patch 5.

Thanks
Shweta
