That is really the biggest problem that discovery uncovers: how incomplete the necessary data is. Most of the project time is cleaning that up so that the results mean something.

In particular,= IIRC, I don't think we were able to reliably get SNs for most Sun servers.= We were able to get it for many Linux (x86) servers, but not all. In man= y cases, what was returned was the value of what the "hostid" command retur= ned, just in decimal rather than hex. I don't believe it had anything to d= o with rights; it just appeared that the information either was not availab= le for discovery, or it wasn't running the right command to get it.
