BMC recommends moving the data with Migrator; I have not tried that for comparison yet, but we had very good results in one test moving everything but SLM data from 7.1/7.0 to 7.5/7.6 using rrrchive for anything where we wanted to overwrite all records in the form (true for MOST tables). The rrrchive tool set to sync to target appears to be a good way to update transactional data subsequent to the initial move... such as when you are about to cut over to the new production environment and need to bring over the latest tickets. On the other hand, the problems with SLM have us currently testing an actual upgrade instead.

You need to populate the spread sheets. I am looking for a way to suck the foundation data out of a current system (7.0.01 patch 4) and then place it into a new 7.6 system. Still looking for ideas. Anyone have an idea (other than migrator) what he was talking about?
