I thought the /etc/hosts file contained that..
IP hostnameShort FQDN loghost?
So
xxx.yyy.zzz.001    hostname      hostname.domain.com    loghost

or I have seen

xxx.yyy.zzz.001  hostname.domain.com  hostname  loghost
