It shouldn’t be a big deal then to change the workflow on development and test it and then roll out to acceptance and production.. I would see a weeks work max which include code change by way of massaging the def files, testing on dev, moving to acceptance and then having the changes ready for production.. Some sort of an emergency change implementation..
