Understanding what is in the logs is an important first step.  What I
mean by this, is understand what all the fields in the log file mean
(e.g., TID, RPC ID, Queue, Client-RPC, USER, log entry, etc.) in
addition to what types of entries are written to each of the log
types.  Once you have this down, grep, sort, awk/sed, cat, tail, head,
egrep, and other utilities make finding what you are looking for in
the logs a breeze.
