Trust me once you are into remedy world, you will learn log analysis knowingly or unknowingly sometimes with the situations demanding. The more problems you are involved with troubleshooting, the faster and better you will get experience with log file analysis. So once you get basic understanding of remedy application development, volunteer yourself on production support. Start with the client side logging in user tool and move on to server side logging.
For a very starter I would advice: 1. Read the chapters in the manual related to log files, understand the filter phasing. 2. Create a small application with Active links, filters, escalations with set fields, push fields or you could use one of your existing apps. 3. Do some creates and updates and see what kind of lines appear in the logs. _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug12 www.wwrug12.com ARSList: "Where the Answers Are"
