Hi Drew, Your question is a little twisted, so will try to answer and clarify.
ITSM 7.6.03 and higher provided OOTB reports using the web reporting capability within AR System - not Crystal/BO. Prior to that, the reports were Crystal/Business Object based reports. You can create new basic reports in AR System 7.6.03 or above using the web reporting capability built into AR System. Recently, there was a white paper released that enabled modification of OOTB reports or creation of new reports using an external 3rd party report editor from the Eclipse BIRT project. That white paper can be found here: Using a BIRT Editor to Create or modify Web Reports<http://documents.bmc.com/supportu/documents/16/62/271662/271662.pdf> Crystal / BO is still supported for integration with the Mid-Tier in version 7.6.03 and higher. BMC Analytics can also be used for that integration if the premium option is purchased. BMC Analytics will provide a higher level of options for analysis vs. the basic reporting that comes with AR System. So in answer to your question, ITSM does not require BOXI to view the OOTB reports and Analytics/BOXI can not be used to modify those reports since they are not Crystal/BOXI reports. However, you can use BOXI/Crystal or BMC Analytics to add Crystal/BO based reports into the Reports Console and run them against ITSM regardless of version. If you want to modify the OOTB reports, use the white paper above. This information is true for ITSM 7.6.03, 7.6.04 and 8.0.00 so it is unchanged in 8.0.00. -David J.
