More info: I created a test account with a floating license and the same permissions as the other users. It behaves as it should, as one would expect - it tells me upon logging in that there are no float tokens available, and then it lets me continue in read-only mode with no errors.
One of these users also got the message about not being allowed to log in from two machines at once. But in fact, he was only logged in once. I'm currently working with BMC on this.
