Well, anything is possible, LOL. Having done desktop support for several years before I started working full-time with Remedy, I can see several potential sources of problems:
* What is the recommended upgrade process and are there any steps need to be done manually? (Are there instructions? Did you actually FOLLOW said instructions? If you relied on memory instead, did you remember correctly?) * Functional changes associated with the update that BMC needs to address. * Differences in recommended upgrade processes - maybe Apache has one while BMC recommends something slightly different, in which case, who you listen to can determine whether you have problems or not. * Corrupted download. Installs, but does not work correctly. But yes, someone who has bravely stepped out onto the bleeding edge and attempted this update is going to be in the best position to speak to any pitfalls! I periodically see notes in my Tomcat log that tells me that the ecache (caching mechanism used by Mid-Tier) is out of date, and a new version is available.... Has anyone ever upgrade ecache?....is it possible, does it break Mid-Tier? This isn't the first rodeo for us either with this occurring. Just looking for some sort of least disruptive recovery during the middle of the day. I can tell you that we have definitely seen the behavior you show in your screenshot, although only once that I can remember. There are actually other weird things that we see more often. As I was not the one who had to resolve the issue, I unfortunately don't remember what the fix was. I'd probably try some of the standard things like flushing the mid-tier cache, then clearing the cache on the user's browser and trying again. Good luck!
