We just completed an upgrade to v8.1 and intended to use the client tool.
Tested it and worked fine.  What we found after production migration was
that it was very slow on our two largest forms.  Not a client problem
necessarily.  All the functions worked.  We are custom only.  We had v7.5
and 7.6 UT.

Crystal Reports via buttons still worked in the client tool.  Actually we
didn't find anything that didn't work as before.

Had to quickly launch mid-tier which we were not using before and after a
challenging two weeks of session timeouts (network) and little browser
annoyances we're loving mid-tier.  Screaming fast.

We had to go to 'blocking' on queries, chose 1000 (which means you enjoy
that in mid-tier and user tool).  But it seems we do numerous queries with
greater results and still haven't figured out how to export all those
results at one time.  Blocking eliminated timeouts in the browser, but
provided a new challenge.  So dabbled in the 'override' and provide the
same query info and this time the export had 2k records instead of 1k, but
not the other 1500.  If anyone has gotten past this I'd love to hear about
it.
