Thanks LJ Coincidentally I was working with Reports Console this afternoon. I found if I 'Scheduled' the report I could get it to run the whole 3500+ records to an excel.
I have to say that mid-tier Reports is quite clunky compared to the user tool. It's the only thing in mid-tier that appears to be slow. I think it's running a query for every field you select. So now I have the same report schedule 4 times and cannot delete them! Tomorrow will be a new day.
