Have you gone through BMC’s performance tuning document? Out of the box, it
isn’t configured well. You have to do some Tomcat optimization as well as set
up preloading of forms for it to start working well. However, also be aware
that the overhead of going from one user to many isn’t going to be a huge
difference, the majority of the overhead is just in running Tomcat and the apps
it supports.

Subject: Midtier & Overall Performance Of ITSM

**
Hi
Having been used to deploying .net apps I have now got my test ITSM system up
and running.
I notice that just the act of logging in to ITSM causes my web server to hog
cpu and thers is only a couple of us testnig at the moment. Its no slouch
either with 4 x vCPU's & 8GB memory.
When we roll out to the some 300 - 400 users im wondering how much horsepower
is going to be required to run this application as it does feel a little
unresponsive?
Suppose I need to find a "best practice" document somewhere on BMC Website
Thanks
JP
