Hi Rick,

I wrote to Christian Zwahlen , the designer of the CD label you want to
use, and he agreed upon adopting your ideas.

He will design three different labels
- one as "program CD" with logo "OpenOffice.org 2.0" without any line
below (for OEM purpose)
- one as "program CD" with logo "OpenOffice.org 2.0" and a second line
"Community Distributor"
- one as "Extras-CD" with logo "OpenOffice.org 2.0" and a second line
"Extras"

He told me that he will do an updated CD cover as well.

This could be reached with the three different labels, I suppose.

Feel free to do so!

The first and third CD labels will not include the term "Community
Distributor", so you can use them for the "official version".

But if you add any software on the disks not included in the officially
approved versions, you will have to tell this fact easily readable on
the label and the cover. We don't want to be made responsible for
external programs not approved by the community.

On the CD labels there is some space (most on the left hand side) where
you may overlay your company name and/or logo, if you want to.

I don't know the format of the CD cover Christian will provide, but I
asked him to use the "minimalist" design for the back - so you will
have enough space for your "Distributed by" part.

When you design your Amaray case label, probably in a different format
from Christian's cover, could you provide this case -- without your
company name/logo of course ;-) -- to the project, licensed under an
open license as LGPL or PDL?

Other community members and distributors could then profit from your
work...

Best regards
Bernhard
