May I suggest that you take into account certain flexibility into what
"latest" means?
It could be useful at least to consider the equivalent to LATEST (aka
newest version between snapshots and releases) and RELEASE (latest
release), as well as a particular snapshot by its canonical name (e.g.,
1.0-SNAPSHOT).
